Brno. Perfectly situated for growth.
Brno is the second largest city in Czech Republic and is strategically located between three regional capitals—Prague, Vienna and Bratislava. Location has been critical for Brno for centuries as it was also situated on the crossroads of ancient trade routes which linked Northern and Southern European civilization.
Topographically, Brno is nestled on the edge of a great agricultural region of Southern Moravia which boasts to be the wine production region of Czech Republic. The north part of the city extends into the beautiful foothills of mid-Moravia.
Slower paced than Prague and not receiving even a fraction of the tourist numbers, it is more of a university and judiciary center than Prague. The bustle in the city is locals and it is possible to get more done without fighting crowds.
Locals are known to be more open and hospitable than their Bohemian counterparts. Of course, in good-natured banter, Bohemians attribute it to Brno-ites being lower class Czechs such as farmers.
