Video: Klaus Stealing Pen
This recent video of Czech Republic President Klaus stealing a pen really is sad.
I am quite sure he would have been or perhaps had even been told before that the pen was his (I really don’t know the unspoken rules of president meetings) but the fact that he went about it in such a dishonorable way in front of the cameras is poor judgment on his part. All his manners suggest that the is stealing it. When citizens see their respected president doing something like this it gives them no moral qualm to be the leader in the EU for shoplifting.
Unfortunately this attitude toward theft makes it very important for landlords to keep detailed furniture inventories for rental properties. I hope they did this in the Prague Castle before President Klaus took up residence!

This is too funny to be true! He even said “I take stuff all the time” later! What a president!

Hi David,
Yes, too funny!
However I do really respect the guy because there is something to be said for someone who takes an opinion on something, even in the face of the general population (or most of the world in the case of his global warming comments) feeling the opposite, but still sticking to his guns.
He has a top rating from Czech citizens in terms of politicians who they trust.
