Over the last 6 months we have really seen the real estate market for small flats strengthen in Brno. By small flats I am talking about the flats which sell for under 1,500,000 CZK.
Smaller flats are currently in strong demand by both first time buyers as well as investors.
For the first time since the heady days of the market in 2006 and 2007 we have had real estate agents in Brno not want to split their commission when we bring a client. Normally a listing agent will split some part of the commission with the agency that brings the buyer.
An agent ‘going it alone’ occurs when they become so confident that they will sell the property directly that they don’t want to cooperate with other agencies.
Of course this is not in the interests of the seller but that is beside the point. It shows a strengthening market for small properties.
