As confirmed by many sources now property prices as a whole have begun to eke out gains in Czech Republic. Not big gains but gains.
In fact, it is quite apparent now that the gains started in the middle of last year and have continued since.
What is happening right now?
The Czech Statistical Office reported that flat prices rose 0.5% overall in Q2, 2013. Prague prices especially in the districts of Prague 2, 6 and 7 climbed even stronger.
The HBIndex reported the following increases in flat prices: 2013 Q2 +0.2%, 2013 Q3 +0.2%, 2013 Q4 0.0%.
Real estate agencies (as reported through news media) have reported:
1. 10.5% gain in property prices in Plzen so far this year
2. The prices of smaller flats in Brno have been increasing for two years. The average offering price of a 2+kk is up 330,000 CZK over that period or a 14% increase.
3. Prague developers sell more new flats in 2013 than any year since 2007.
