Previously we had thought that the Land Registry was only recognizing foreign individuals as being able to purchase without restriction but the central Land Registry office in Prague informed us that it applies also to foreign companies. So there is no need to establish a local branch of the company in order to purchase property.
This could be a considerable cost savings for some clients but we are sure there will be hiccups along the way.
We are in the process of doing this for one client so will keep you informed as to how it turns out.
