Metropolis Pardubice – Hradec Kralove

Rivalry between Pardubice and Hradec Kralove dates to the middle of the last century when the inhabitants of both cities began to feel that their city was the best one.

In the year 1960, Hradec Kralove became the capital for the entire eastern Bohemia until 2000, when it became the capital for the Hradec Kralove region only.The current creation of Pardubice region of the regional city of Pardubice was a great satisfaction for all the patriots of Pardubice.

The current development plan, nevertheless, demonstrates the vision of a single city with links making it one large metropolis while preservation the identity of the assigned cities.
