Ownership of Agricultural / Forestry Land by Non-EU Directly is Permitted

Czech Republic’s five year and then additional two year exemption of Article article 56 of the EU articles of establishment expired on May 2011. This change was recently adopted by parliament.

What this means is that EU and non-EU citizens can now purchase land zoned as agricultural or forest without any limitations.

An article in the Prague Post from 11.4.2012, in which we were quoted as well as a client of ours, seemed to indicate that this was still the case.
